Wellington Market Steady

BUSINESS IMPROVES

Little change was seen yesterday in the Wellington stock and share market. Business was not brisk, but there was a slight improvement in the recorded turnover.. Government loans continued to hold the interest of buyers and the market was firm. Christchurch Gas advanced to business at 20/3. Insurance shares were fully firm. There was a good inquiry for industrials which were quoted at steady rates.
