BRITISH TREASURY RETURNS
(British Official Wireless.! (Received December 13, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 12. The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue has amounted to £274,898,000, compared with £237,986,000 at the corresponding date last year. The total expenditure, less self-balanciug items, is £781,789,472, compared with £095.132,858 a year ago. The .floating debt outstanding on December 9 was £1.472,975,000, a net increase of £552,665.000 since the beginning of the financial year, against £1,018,000 at the corresponding date in 1938.
