CHANNEL TUNNEL
Scheme Revived In France
Tlie channel tunnel scheme is being revived, this time in the French Chamber of Deputies. The Minister of Public Works, M. de Monzie, described the construction of the tunnel as a national necessity which should be one of the first jobs undertaken after the war. The tunnel scheme has been brought up at intervals since the middle of last century* and short strips of abandoned tunnel still exist on each side. — By radio.
