Ministerial. The Hon. R. .Semple, Minister of Public Works, returned to Wellington yesterday from Ohakune. The .Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of internal Affairs, left Wellington by the Main Trunk express yesterday afternoon for Auckland.

The Hon. F. Laugstoue, Minister of Lands, returned to Wellington from the north yesterday.

Sir Charles Norwood travelled south from Wellington last night by the steamer express.

Mr. P. H. Vickeny, Invercargill, is visiting Wellington. Dr. N. L. Edson, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington from the south yetserday.

Mr. D. W. McKay, Invercargill, is paying a business visit to Welliugtou.

Mr. W. A. Boucher returned to Auckland last night after a business visit to Wellington.

Mr. J. S. Barton left Wellington for the north last night by the Limited express.

Mr. A. J. Allport, Timuru, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday by the steamer express.

Mr. J. R. McKenzie, Christchurch, arrived at* Wellington yesterday by the steamer express.

Mr. L. J. Schmitt, general manager of the Tourist and Publicity Department, returned to Wellington yesterday from the South Island. Mr. W. W. Mulholland, Dominion president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, arrived at Wellington yesterday by Hie steamer express from the south.

Mr. C. M. Turrell, general manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company, Ltd., returned to Wellington yesterday after visiting the South island. Mr. C. Stanley Smith, ot the "Evening Star,” Dunedin, and Mr. W. Euston, manager of the "Otago Daily Times,” Dunedin, left Wellington for the South Island last night. Mr. E. W. Ackland, managing director of the National Electrical and Engineering Company, Ltd., 'Wellington, was a passenger for the south by the steamer express last night.

Mr. J. D. O’Connor, who took his seat for the first time at the December meeting of the 'Wellington Education Board as the representative of Mastertoil, was welcomed to the board table yesterday by the chairman, Mr. W. V. Dyer. Mr. W. A. Bodkin, M.P. for Central Otago, is visiting Wellington. He is to represent the Leader of the Opposition. Hon. A. Hamilton, at. the opening this afternoon of the Maori Court at. the Centennial Exhibition. Mr. Bodkin intends to return south tonight. Mr. G. M. Henderson, a member of the 'Wellington Education Board, who has just returned from a trip abroad, was welcomed by the chairman, Mr. W. V. Dyer, at yeserday’s meeting of the board.

Mr. A. Donald, representative of the Wellington Education Board on the Wairarapa College Board of Governors, tendered bis resignation from the college board at yesterday’s meeting of the education board.. Mr. Donald’s resignation was received with regret ami he was thanked for his services. Mr. J. D. O’Connor was appointed to take his place on the college board of governors.
