The Auckland Regatta Committee received a report recently from the sailing committee to the effect that it had decided to add a race for schooners, yawls and ketches to the regatta programme. This was received with acclamation, many members stating that it was gratifying to know that this event, which had been so popular in bygone years, was to be revived. It was pointed out that there is an increasing nnmbe” of such sailing craft, and it was expected that a keen and picturesque race would result.
