SUNDAY CONCERT
The Wellington Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Leon de Mutiny, has been engaged by the 'Wellington City’ Centennial Celebrations Committee for a concert, which will be given in the Town Hall next Sunday night, beginning at 8.30 o’clock. The string quartet will comprise Ava Symons, Frieda Meier, William McLean, and Claude Tanner; and parts for the solo violin will be played by Vivienne Blamires. Composers whose works are featured on the programme are Haydn Wood. Sibelius. Elgar, Beethoven, Liszt, and Thomas Gray.
