Interisland Services A D DITION AL SAI L IN GS Bookings for the Christmas and New Year holiday period in the interisland steamer services have set a record this year. Purl ieularly heavy are the bookings from tlie South Island, for which the Centennial Exhibition in Wellington is very largely, if not. wholly, responsible. Many sailings have been fully booked for weeks past. This occurs every year for Hie peak nights just before Christmas, but heavy bookings this year are spread over an even wider period than was the case last year. Moro special sailings have been ar ranged this year in the WellingtuiiLyllelton service to cope with the heavier bookings. For travellers to and from Pieton and Nelson, the arrangements are similar to those made last year. Wellington-Lyttelton. In Hie Wellington-Lyttelton service the Waliiue will make four daylight sailings from Wellington—on Thursday, December 21: Friday, ,December 22; Saturday, December 23: ami Tuesday, January The l;.-ingatira wilt make similar sailings fro' i Lyttelton on Hie same days.
