FOXTON UNEMPLOYED ABSORBED
Moutoa Swamp To Be Planted In Flax Dominion Special Service FOXTON, December 12. Thirty men from Foxton started yesterday clearing up the portion of Moutoa swamp recently acquired by the Government. The area is to ne planted in flax. The men will be on full-time work, and will be paid by the Foxton Borough Council. They will be supervised in their work by Mr, P. T, Uobiuson, Apart from ensuring the welfare of the flax industry and Woolpacks, this step means that practically the whole of Foxton’s unemployed will be absorbed.
