Rise For Good Quality At Waipukurau Sale Dominion Special Service WAI I’IjKURAU, December 12. A small yarding of etore cattle was forward at the Waipukurau sale today, wlieu a marked rise took place for good quality, young steers being 10/- to 20/dearer. Well-grown two-year forward I’.A. steers brought £7/11/-, mediumsized three-year-olds £3/10/-, lifteen-inonthe-olds. well-conditioned, £5/16/-; two-year heifers, £5; fair-quality empty cows, £4/16/-. Little price change was shown in lhe fat lines, the top price of £B/15/- being paid for two solid prime, dehorned 'Hereford cows. A four-year I’.A. heifer realized £3/10/-. Wethers were in demand, and showed an advance of 1/6. A well-grown forward lino made IS/-, forward Southdowus 17/6. and fat and forward 20/6.
