NEW ZEALAND PILOT’S BODY RECOVERED
To Be Buried With Honours Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, .September 25. The body of Acting-Pilot Officer Alan George Whitehead, of the Royal Air Force and late of Palmerston North, has been recovered from the sea, according to advice received in Wanganui. Acting-Pilot Officer Whitehead was drowned as the result of an aircraft accident on September 12. He was at a training station at Fern Hill, Shropshire, and his last letter advised that ho had gained his wings. The funeral is to be with full service honours and he is to be buried at Llanengan, Wales.
