Help To Small Industries
Since operations began in February of this year help has been given to 10 Scottish industrial enterprises through loans or the taking up of capital by the Scottish Development Financial Trust Ltd.
Sums involved range from £l5O to £5OOO. The aggregate amount lent is £16.000. The trust was formed in October of last year in order to help particularly the smaller Scottish industries by the provision of funds to new businesses or for the extension of existing enterprises.
The businesses served include engineering' and allied trades and some specializing in smaller products. Two native industries in the Highlands, one in stone and the other in wood, had been helped.
