PRICE OF BUTTER
British Maximum Revised (Received September 26, 12.50 a.m.) LONDON, September 25. The maximum butter price has been revised for ail kinds, English, Empire and Continental, and is now 145/- cwt. ex-store and 9d. lb. retail. AVhen rationing is introduced consumers will receive a definite amount of butter and margarine. The temporary shortage is ascribed to a diminution of continental supplies and the dislocation of shipments from other sources. 'l’he next few days will show whether one standard maximum price is workable or desirable.
