Organizing Secretary’s Visit To Wairarapa An outline of the valuable practical ■work being accomiplished by natives associated with the British and Foreign Bible Society in far off lands, where the Word of God might not be known were it not for their efforts, was given by Mrs. V. Wakelin, organizing-sveretary for the society, when she visited Martinborough recently. Miw. Wakelin attended the annual meeting of the Martinborough branch, and referred also to various aspects of the society’s work. The meeting was well attended, and the Rev. F. O. Ball presided. The retiring president, Mr. W. J. Marlin, xvas thanked for his past services. The following officei-s were elected: — President, Mrs. Tyler; vice-presidents, the Revs. F. O. Ball and J. Mann, and Mesdnmes AV. J. Martin, Ball. Mann. Nicol, Lamib, J. Mclx-od. and Mr. J. A Robinson. AVhile in the Wairarapa district, Mrs. Wakelin addressed Sunday school classes and church congregations.
