HAWAIIAN PICNIC
Australian Swimming Coach Sued HONOLULU, August. 1. Miss Mary Jane Birfceluud, of Honolulu and formerly of Hollywood, has sued the Australian swimming coach, Hay, for 20,000 dollars as the result, of an eye injury allegedly suffered at n picnic 10 days ago. It is alleged that Hay “negligently and carelessly threw a bottle, striking the plaintiff and cutting and bruising her head in the vicinity of the eye” Hay is here pending the settlement of negotiation? with Japan for a swimming tour.
