The number of passenger tickets sold at the Palmerston North railway booking office during July showed a slight decrease on the figures for the corresponding month of last year, but because of the 10 per cent, increase in fares the revenue showed a slight increase. The number of tickets sold last month was 9193. of a value of £3058, compared with 9544 in July last year.
