AEROPLANE SLIGHTLY DAMAGED
* Wellington Club’s Waco In Palmerston North Two of the three Wellington Aero Club machines which were weatherbound in Palmerston North returned to Wellington yesterday. The aircraft were flown to Palmerston North last Saturday for the official opening of the Middle Districts Aero Club’s new buildings at Milson aerodrome, but: strong southerly winds prevented them from returning liefore yesterday morning. The Waco cabin machine, which was slightly damaged last. Sunday, did not return to Wellington yesterday, but was held in Palmerston North for repairs. The Waco was dajiiaged when the trailing aerial of a Royal New Zealand Air Force machine, flying low over the aerodrome, caught and ripped the fabric of an upper wing and portion of the tail.
