LATE MR. J. W. ABBOTT

Memorial Service Most of the seating accommodation at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral was occupied yesterday afternoon on the occasion of the memorial service to the late Mr. John W. Abbott, of Abbott, Oram and Co., warehousemen, Wellington. The majority of the leading business houses and banks were represented among the many mourners. Messrs. E. H. Rawson and Kenneth Duncan, brothers-in-law, were the chief mourners. Those who acted as pall-hearers were Messrs. F. Abbott (nephew, of Auckland), Percy Blundell, James Crawford, Gordon Harcourt, G. Lusty and Dr. Stout. The service was conducted by the Rev. Collard Scrubey.

There were numerous floral tributes from all parts of New Zealand.
