Chester Simpson Cup FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY A report on the St. George Club's visit to Christchurch last weekend was submitted by the manager of the team, Mr. G. 11. Bassaut, to the Board of Control of" the Wellington Rugby football League at this week's meeting. The report stated that, in spite of » very rough trip down, and rain and sleet during the play, a good game resulted in a win for Sydenham by a narrow mar--81 Mr. Bassant, who is leaving New Zealand on a holiday, was granted leave of absence till the first week in September. On a recommendation from Mr. 1 . J. Donovan, it was decided to arrange a junior representative game, City v. feuburbs, later in the season. It was decided that a cup, presented by Mr. C. Simpson. •be competed for m the junior knock-out competition, and be known as the Chester. Simpson Cup. Saturday’s Fixtures. The following fixtures were arranged for Saturday next:—? .
