Proposed Match With Manawatu AUGUST 12 SUGGESTED The management committee of the Wellington Football Association at its meeting last night considered a request from the Manawatu Football Association that a Wellington representative team should be sent to Palmerston North to play Manawatu on either' August o Or 12. Mr. H. H. Spolslty said that only four first A division teams would be playing on August 12, and it might be possible to pick a representative team from the other four team®. After a discussion on finance, it was decided to offer the trip on August 12 to the Marist, Technical Old Boys. Hospital and Diamond clubs, and to inquire from Manawatu if it would be agreeable to playing a team from one of those clubs, and what financial assistance could be expected. It was decided to send a team to Gisborne on September 2 to play the annual match against Poverty Bay. Mr. J. J. Kean was appointed to select the team. As six of the first B division teams will be on the bank on August 12. it was decided to arrange a match at Porirua between Hospital and a team chosen from those six teams. , Senior fixtures for Saturday, August 12, were approved as follows: — First A Championship and Semifinal. Swifts, Basin Reserve No. 2, 245 p.m. Hospital v. first B division representatives, at Porirua, 2.30 p.m. In the Auld Memorial Cup games, dominate sipells are to be played, which will count for the championship. If the teams are level at the end of the 90 minutes, two ten-minute spells of extra time will be played to decide the cup game. First B Division—First Round Victory Cup. Institute Old Boys v.
