CLAN MACKAY
The monthly gathering of the Wellington branch of the Clan Maekay Society of New Zealand was held on Saturday, when die programme of vocal and elocutionary items was of a high standard. Dr. Atholl .Mackay, vice-president, announced that a smoke concert was being arranged on a date to he decided later. The wives of the London Scottish were holding a card party to swell the funds of the Black Watch Regiment. ' The progratunte was as follows: Song, “Wee Cooper o' Fife,” Miss 11. Craig; song, “Bonnie Dundee.” .Mrs. L. Black: elocution, “A Braw Scotch Night,” Mr. G. Mackay Brown: dances. _ Misses C. Duncan and P. Reid. Mr. Lindsay also entertained the audience for half an hour. Tlie items were interspersed with dancing. Mrs. E. B. MaeGbwan and Miss L. MacGowan providing the music on the piano and piano-aecordion. Mr. Andrew .Mackay was M.C. Mrs. MacGowan was accompanist for the singers.
