Struck by a powerful whirlwind, a shed on the property of Mr. L. Booth. Horotiu, was extensively damaged. The iron roof was carried high into the air and landed a quarter of a mile away in the Waikato River. A piece of timber was carried 100 yards and driven seven feet deep into a hillock. Another shed ou the property was damaged, but Mr. Booth’s house escaped the full force of the wirftl.
