Association’s Annual Meeting
The annual series of Scots College reunion events opened iu Wellington last night, with the annual meeting of the Scots College Old Boys’ Association. The annual dinner will be held tonight, and the annual ball tomorrow night. Mr. A. H. Campbell, president, presided at the annual meeting.
The executive’s report adopted by the meeting stated that the life membership had increased by 19. and stood at 209, and tlie annual members numbered 30. The income was £59, of which a record amount of £47 was from subscriptions. The excess of income ' over expenditure was £l9. Mr. Campbell had replaced Mr. L. J. B. McKelvie as the association’s representative on the board of governors, Mr. McKelvie having retired. Mr. I. H. McArthur remained the other representative. During the year the association applied for membership of the recently formed Combined Secondary Schools Old Boys’ Association, Mr. Campbell being its representative on the council.
Officers elected are: Patron, Mr. K. W. R. Glasgow; president, Mr. I. M. Plimmer; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. LWall, A. P. Smith, W. M. King, P. C. Watt, J. A. Foster, E. Scotland, L, R. McKelvie, H. B. Gibbons, J. T. Martin, I. Fraser, J. Leuchars and J. R. Sutcliffe, and Dr. A.’ W. Hogg; deputychairman, Mr. G. W. L. Hanlon; committee, Messrs. S. A. Scotland, S. F. B. Geddis, A. H. Campbell, M. G. Turner, A. N. Newton and J. F. Julius; auditor. Mr. J. L. Arcus. The office of secretary-treasurer remains to be filled. A fund having been opened by the parents’ association connected with the college to provide kilts for the college cadets instead of the ordinary cadet uniforms, the association decided to give £7/7/-.
