Following is the general weather report issued, by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. today
Some light scattered rain in north Auckland, but otherwise weather fair to cloudy at first. Unsettled, with rain, however, in south Westland, and rain extending to most western districts, and also to Otago and Southland. Temperatures mild.
