British And Foreign Bible Society
Meetings of the branches of the British and Foreign Bible Society in. Porirua and Paraparaumu were held recently. The Wellington district organizer, Mrs. Violet Wakelin, attended, and spoke generally of the society’s activities, both at home and abroad. , ’ . . At the Porirua meeting the retiring president, the Rev. Wesley Long, was replaced for the coming year by the Rev. B. R. White. Other officers .elected were: Vice-presidents, Mes'dames Hasse and Evans, and the Rev. Wesley Long; secretary, Miss Hasse; collectors, Mesdames Evans and Taylor. At Paraparaumu, in spite ot the boisterous weather, a. happy band gathered The Rev. H. B. L. Goertz was elected president, and the vice-presidents are Mesdames Alexander, Goertz, and Cromb. Mrs. W. Phipps was re-elected secretary.
