PERMISSION TO ERECT FLATS DECLINED

An application by tin; Department of Housing Construction for permission to erect an eight-story block of 55 fiats on property overlooking (he Crafton Bridge, was declined by Ihe city council last night. The council resolved to negotiate for the purchase of the property in question as mt addition to the Crafton Gully Reserve.
