Results Of Manawatu Competition YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS Dominion Special Service. PALMERSTON N„ February 22. Results of the stock-judging competition held by the Manawatu Youug Farmers’ Clubs’ district committee in !• ending at the recent show were announced today by the judges as follows: — Romney Ram. Judge; Mr. A. L. Wheeler (Marton). Individual Competition.—J. D. Colqulioun (Feilding), 1 ; G. Mitchell (Katranga), 2; P. Thevenard (Kimbolton). 3. Teams’ Competition.—Apiti, 1 : Kimbolton, 2; Levin, 3. Baconer Pig. Judge: Mr. E. P. Nielsen (Palmerston North). Individual Competition. —L. E. Hansen (Feilding), 1; M. Lind (Rongotea), 2; A. Cowan (Apiti), 3. Teams’ Competition—Feilding. 1; Kongotea, .2; Colyton, 3. Dairy Cattle. Judge: Mr. J. Mitchell (Woodville). V. C. Lewis (Levin), 1; G. Mitchell (Kairanga), 2; P. Thevenard (Kimbolton), 3. . Teams’ Competition.—Feilding, 1; Kairanga, 2; Levin, 3. The competition drew an entry of more than 100, .representatives being present from the majority of the 21 clubs in the Manawatu. The winners of the competition will be invited to take part in a combined district competition in Masterton next month, when they will have a chance of being selected for the New Zealand competition. The reward for the winners of the last New Zealand championship was a 10-week tour of Australia. The committee responsible for the organization of the Manawatu competition was Messrs. P. Thevenard (chairman), H. J. Lancaster, D. Rowland, F. E. .Sherwood, J. H. Mason. K. Ferguson, J. B. Chrystall, C. G. Dobson and G. S. Robinson (secretary).
