The retail price of New Zealand butter was expected to advance to 1/3 a lb. That of Danish butter was unchanged at 1/5 a lb. Deliveries of New Zealand butter Irom store last week were 1355 tons. lite quantity in store on Friday, including 667 tons ex Arawa. was 4025 tons, as against -184!) tons a year ago. Deliveries of Australian butter irom store lust week were 2249 tons; the quantity in store on Friday was 6795 tons, aw against -377 tons a year ago. The Imperial Economic Committee estimated that stocks of all butters in store totalled 638,518 boxes, as cornipared with 334.908 boxes at this time last year. The cheese market, was quiet last week. New Zealand closing at 69/6 to 70/- a ewt, as against 70/- the previous week.
