Southdowns In Strong Demand

GISBORNE, January 2-1
An unexpectedly strong demand occurred for flock Southdown rams at today’s Gisborne fair, values improving from one to two guineas on last, year.Top price was 10} guineas. .Several pens sold between nine and 10 guineas. Six to eight guineas was a fairly common price. Two stud rams on account of Stanley Hughes, Maxwell, brought 30 guineas each.
