The butter market is firm and active. New Zealand, choicest salted, 123/-; unsalted, 126/-. Australian, salted, 122/-; unsalted, 124/-. Cheese is sternly. New Zealand, white and coloured, 70/-; Australian, white, 64/6; coloured, 65/6 to 66/-.
The price of New Zealand salted butter at 123/- a cwt. represents a rise of (>/- on the week. The London equivalent of the New Zealand guaranteed price is 124/3 a cwt.
Reduced Wool-Combing Charges

The Wool Federation has agreed with the Woolcombers’ Association to introduce a system of rebates, reducing the combing charges. tl is believed that this action has been taken in order to stimulate the trade.
