RELIGIOUS SERVICES lecture on bible truth (God willing), T OOF HALL, ALLEN STREET, X- ' SUNDAY, at 7 p.m. Subject: “THE EXAMPLE OF NOAH” “BY FAITH, NOAH, BEING WARNED OF GOD OF THINGS NOT SEEN VS YET, MOVED Will’ll 'FEAR, PREPARED AN ARK TO THE SAVING OF HIS HOUSE; BY WHICH HE CONDEMNED THE WORLD. VXD BECAME HEIR OF THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS BY FAITH.” (Paul-llebs. 11:7). The object of this lecture is to show from the Scriptures (1) THAT just as Noah was “warned of God of things not seen us yet,” so mankind today by the “more sure word of prophey” is also “warned of God of things not seen as yet.” (2 Pet. 1:19-21, Isa. 46 :9-10, Acts 1:11, Acts 3:19-21). (2) THAT in our day the prophetic Word in warning of “things not seen as yet” warns that “The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His Mighty Angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thess. 1:7-9) —warning of a terrible time of Divine judgment before the Kingdom of God is set up on earth. (Jude 14-15, Isa. 2:10-21, Isa. 26: 20-21, Isa. 30:27-28, Isa. 66:15-16, , Jer. 10:10, Jer. 25:30-33, Zeph. 3:8, Mai. 4 :l-3. Hobs. 12 :26, Rev. 11:18, Rev. 16:15-21, Matt. 12:18-21, Isa. 26:9. Hag. 2:7, Rev. 19:15, Matt. 6:10, Rev. 11:15, Acts 17:31, etc.). (3) THAT notwithstanding the reliability of the “more surq word of prophecy,” and notwithstanding the contemporary signs of Christ’s coming, universal unbelief prevails today in relation to the definite teaching of the Scriptures concerning the future. (2 Pet. 1:19, Hab. 2 :3, Luke 21:2531, 1 Thess. 5 :4, Hebs. 10:25, 2 Tim. 4:3-4, Isa. 60:2, Isa. 25:7.). (4) THAT therefore Christ said that when He returned it would be “ as it was in the days of Noah” (Luke 17: 26-30) when “all flesh had corrupted God’s way upon the earth.” Gen. 6:12). (5) THAT just as Noah, in the midst of a world of unbelief, “prcparetljpi ark to the saving of his can those today in the midst of the prevrtijing unbelief, who believe and obey the Word of God, prepare themselves for association with Christ (their Ark) at His coming, thereby escaping the “wrath to come.” (Gen. 6 Gen. 7, 1 Pet. 3:20, 2 Pet. 2:5, 2 Pct. 3 :l-4, Mark 16:15-16, John 10:27-28, John 15:14, Rev. 19:7, Matt. 25:10. Rev. 14:1-5, Rev. 20:6, Rev. 5:9-10). “THERE SHALL COME IN THE LAST DAYS SCOFFERS, WALKING AFTER THEIR OWN LUSTS, AND SAYING, ‘WHERE IS THE PROMISE OF HIS COMING (2 Pet. 3:3-4). Questions Invited. ' No Collection. If unable to attend, write “Bible Truth,” c/o above hall, for free literature.
