More Land To Be Purchased
Final arrangements have been made for the purchase of land sufficient for 16 house units in East Street and the Esplanade, I’elone, for two in Guthrie Street, Lower Hutt, one in Stellin Street. Lower Hutt, and five in Millward Str: et, Wanganui, according to an announcement by the Parliamentary Un-der-Secretary to the Minister of Housing. Mr. .1. A. Lee. yesterday. Land for the units specified has been purchased in other parts of the Dominion as follows: —Auckland: 10 at Mount Albert. 37 and 11 garages at .Mount Eden. 5 at Mount Roskill, 26 at One free Hill. ">6 at Retnuera, 43 at Point 'hovalier. 5 at St. Hellers, 6 at Takauna. 11 at Westmere, 9 at Avondale, dal Ellerslie. Christchurch :3 at Sumaer. .Methven 4, Green Island 7.
