WANGANUI, January 12
A strong westerly breeze marred conditions’ for tlie weekly meeting of the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club at Cook's Gardens tonight, but good times were recorded. A feature of the meeting was the re-cord-breaking discus throw In .1. D. Morgan. He threw 134 feet 8 inches to beat the 11-year old West Coast record of L. Head (Hnwerii) by 10 inches.
