On Holiday

Mr. and Mrs. John Hutton, Wellington, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Lithgow, Westmere, Wanganui.

Mrs. Charles McAllum, Eastbourne, Wellington, has taken a house in Christchurch till the end of January. Her mother, Mrs. H. Marshall, Christchurch, will stay with her.

Mrs. H. J. Greive, Hastings, accompanied by her daughter, Brenda, is visiting her parents in Timaru. Mrs. F. O. Steffensen, Palmerston North, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. F. W. Gayton, New Plymouth. Professor and Mrs. G. S. Peren and family, Palmerston North, are spending a holiday at Paraparaumu. Mrs. J. Ferris Fuller, Masterton, is visiting her mother, Mrs. F. J. Campbell, Anderson’s Bay, Dunedin. Mrs. R. George, Lower Hutt, is spending a holiday in Inglewood with her mother, Mrs. W. Henry. Mrs. G. H. Birch, Reinuera, Auckland, who has been visiting Mrs. D. L. Cameron, Karori, Wellington, will leave for Christchurch tonight. Mrs. W. L. Hunter, Coradine Street, Masterton, is spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs. Hugh Haggitt, Glenfalloch, Mataikona (East Coast). Mr. and Mrs. B. Buchanan, and Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Buchanan, Dannevirke, and Mrs. H. Buchanan, AVaipukurau, are visitors to Carterton for the Buchanan-Booth wedding. Mrs. P. J. O’Regan, Wellington, was a passenger by the interisland steamer express to Lyttelton on Wednesday night.

Mrs. Norman Beetbam, Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Beetham, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Beetham, Masterton, and their families are staying at Paraparaumu Beach. Visitors to Carterton for the Buchanan-Booth wedding are Mrs. Douglas Gray. (Auckland), Mrs. Roake (Dannevirke), Mrs. A. Roydhouse (Dunedin), Mrs. H. Sherri® and Miss E. Sherriff (Marton), Mrs. W’. Rice (Ohura), and Mrs. H. Baird (Masterton), all of whom are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Booth, Middlerun.

M’a’es Mary and Betty Bailey, Palmerston North, were recently the guests of Mrs. W. J. Grey, Albert Street, Masterton.

Returned To Wellington Miss K. Mackersey has returned to Wellington after spending the holidays with Mrs. Noel Beamish. Hawke’s Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cook, Island Bay, Wellington, have returned home after spending a holiday at Paihia, Bay of Islands. Miss Jeune Fiebig, who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. J, D. KcKinley, Napier, has returned to Wellington. Miss Shona Bennetts, Wellington, has returned from a holiday spent in Masterton, as the guest of the Misses Harvey. Mrs. R. S. Mclnnis. Wellington, returned from the South Island yesterday morning. Visitors to Wellington Miss Avril Cooke, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington, and is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Maurice Ham. Mrs. C. Speight, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington yesterday morning. Returned Home Mrs. A. Hanna has returned to Christchurch from a visit to Mrs. Thompson, Lansdowne, Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. 11. Pauli have returned to their home in Wanganui from a visit to Masterton. Mrs. D. G. Sullivan, Christchurch, left Wellington for the south last night. Going Abroad Mrs. A. W. Cowey, Auckland, arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from the north, and will leave by the Rangitane for England tomorrow. With her husband, who preceded her, Mrs. Cowey will return to New Zealand, via Singapore, in about a year’s' time.
