MINOR OUTBREAKS OF FIRE

— + Two calls were received yesterday by the Wellington Fire Brigade to minor At 7.25 a.m. one engine from the central station and one from Thorndon answered a call to No. 9 Wesley Road, owned and occupied by Mr. W. J. Blundell, where a fire had started in the dining-room through an electric radiator being left on. The flames were extinguished with a garden hose. The room and its contents were damaged. The other call was received at 1(1.15 a.m. to No. 10 Courtenay Place, n con fectionery shop, where a lire bail started through the motor of a refrigerator overheating. The lire was (mt out with a hand-extinguisher. Damage was confined to the machine.
