Little Agitation In Africa
‘‘.Reports of alarm in German East Africa, and agitation for the return of tlie German colonies, are greatly exaggerated.”, said Mr. G. 11. Dawson, assistant, manager of the South African Railways, who a'rrjved at Wellington yesterday by the Awatea. He said that bis district covered the whole of what was formerly German East Africa, with headquarters at Windhoek. There were only about 9000 Germans and they were for the most part, he thought, well content to leave things as they were. He bad seen Jktla evidence of apprehension or agitation.
