DISPUTE AT PORT KEMBLA
Watersiders Refuse To Take
Out Licences
(Received December 9, 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 9.
The waterside dispute at Port Kembln was taken a further stage today when the local wliarfmen refused to take out licences and also ignored calls for labour for the steamers Dalfram and Ellaroo.
The men are picketing the wharves, but there is no sign of disorder.
There is no immediate likelihood of the dispute spreading to the Sydney wharves, but the fact, that no labour is offering at Port Kembla will greatly inconvenience the local steel, works and the south coast collieries.
