Skyrena, who is engaged in the Trial Plate in Hororata tomorrow, m n fottr-year-oid filly by Sky Bine from Gobble, by Tea Tray from Fulsome, by Absurd from Eulogy, and is trained by M. Conza. She has not yet raced, but has shown marked ability as a and over five furlongs tomorrow .she is certain to be prominent. Improvident bruised a heel a few days back, and as it was not possible to gallop him during the week, he will not make the trip to Hororata. Aggravate has two engagements in Hororata. Present intentions are to start him in the Bangor Highweight Handicap. An eligible rider has nol been secured for him, and should one not, be available tomorrow ho will be ridden by L. J. In the Dark, who also figures in the Bangor Highweight Handicap, is a five-year-old gelding by Nightmarch from a Gay Lad—Furling mare, and is owned and trained by F. Holmes, who has ridden him to and on the tracks for some time, and is invariably first Io work in the early mornings. In the Dark is a longstriding galloper, and it would not be surprising to find him developing into a good winner when he becomes more seasoned. Dictate will be an interesting runner in the seven-furlong event in Hororata. Ho is to he taken north on Tuesday by A. McAulay, to race at the Waipa meeting next Saturday, and will later go on to Ellerslie. He will be accompanied from- Wellington by Arctic King.
