Wellington Market Quiet AUSTRALIANS ADVANCE Trading wats quiet on. the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday. The demand in most sections was extremely dull, the exception being Australian industrial and trading issues, which were quoted at higher rates. The virtual cutting off of Australian supplies by exchange control has forced New Zealand holdings above Melbourne and Sydney parity, as is shown by sales made yesterday. Woolworths, Ltd., advanced from 21/4 to 21/0, a gain of Sd. since Tuesday. British Tobaccos, Broken Hill Proprietary and G. J. Coles also showed good gains. New Zealand stocks and shares attracted little interest. Sales recorded yesterday on the Wellington Stock Exchange were as follows:—
