Sir Don Baron Jayatilnka is resigning the leadership of the State Connell and also as Home Minister. II Mr. 1 ■ N. Banks remains Inspector-General 01. Police he intends to remain a privat-’ member of tlie Connell and lead a tight for reforms, particularly regarding Ministerial control of finances.

Mr. Mark Bracegirdle. who arrived from Australia, exonerated ami reinstated Mr. Banks and commented adversely on the evidence of tlie Minister of Home Affairs, Sir Don Baron Jnyatilnka. Tlie Supreme Court in 1937 quashed tlie Governor's deportation order against Mr Bracegirdle. Tlie Board of Ministers nfterwaid recommended Mr. Banks’s dismissal. Mr. Bracegirdle achieved notoriety when, as a' learnet mt a tea plirnti:lion. lie was reported to have attended the meetings of an Indian woman Communist leader.
