Following is the weather report ami forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. today : A deep depression is crossing the Dominion, the lowest pressures betng int he south, but an anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers south-eastern Austrnl.a and is advancing across the south Tasman Sea. The forecast is for strong north-westerly winds to gales, but a change to sout 11westerlies or southerlies advancing from the south and becoming general soon. Seas rou-ffi on the west coast and about Cook and Foveanx Straits: moderate m eoastal waters on most of the east coast but later rising south of Cnstlepi ii t. Strong south-westerly winds to gales and rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sen Weather changeable and with rain at times in most, districts tind«e iso la ed heavy falls. Improving today on the west coast of the boutli Island. Temperatures becoming colder.
