Hot Shot, Oriental Bay and Royal Message finished in that order at the conclusion of live furlongs in 1.4 1-5. They went fast in the early stages, running tjie first two in 24 2-5. Hot Shot is displaying improvement after his racing. Conceding the others a start, Oriental Bay finished nicely in the straight, and has gone on the right way since he raced at Ellerslie. Erination strode over six furlongs in 1..25 2-5, the first three occupying 41. 3-5. Pasture worked over a round, running the first six furlongs easily in 1.20 3-5. .She is being tried over more ground and is shaping satisfactorily. On the two-year-old track Kouneta worked steadily over two rounds and appeared to be moving more freely than recently. Love in Idleness schooled over four hurdles w.tisfactorily, though she got too close to the last. Baldric cleared two hurdles in faultless style. lie may soon be seen to advantage in jumping events.

Rajanya was sent over a puny hurdle several times, giving an encouraging display.
