Visit To Great Britain And Canada

hi a circular to bowling club seeretarice inviting nominations for the party of New Zealand bowlers lo tour Great Britain and Canada next year, the executive of the New Zealand Bowling Association states that some difficulty has been experienced in arranging suitable transport and accommodation, and the party is limited to 40 persons, including women. In the event of a greater number of nominations being- received a ballot will be conducted to reduce the number to 40.

The itinerary provides for the party leaving Now Zealand by the Awatea on March 22, leaving Sydney by the Mooltan on March 29, and travelling via Suez to London. A May of 10 weeks will be made in Great Britain, divided as follows: Five weeks in England, three weeks in Scotland, and one week each in Ireland and Wales. The party will then embark in the Duclws’ of Bedford at Liverpool on .July 21 and spend approximately five weeks in Canada. After visiting San Francisco and Los Angeles they will leave for New Zealand by the Monterey on September 13. TOURNAMENT POSTPONED Heavy rain early yesterday morning prevented the annual pairs tournament among the weretnries and treasurers of the clubs affiliated to the Wellington Bowling Centre being held. A new dale for Hie tournament will probably be fixed b.v the centre executive al ils next meeting on Tuesday.
