Apples are more expensive to buy at this time of the year than they have been for some'considerable time. Our line of “extra fancy” Stunners from Hawke’s Bay was eagerly snapped up at 15/- a case in Wellington yesterday morning. On the other hand, due to recent rains, the markets are now well supplied with cabbages, cauliflowers and lettuce. Cabbages sold for as little as 1/6 a sack yesterday.
