HOLIDAY TRAMPS

Programmes Of Wellington Clubs s Every year the tramping clubs of Wellington take advantage of the midsummer holidays to go to unfrequented places and enjoy the beauties of New Zealand scenery. The Tararua Tramping Club will send two parties to the South Island at Christinas time. A small one will go to the liakaia, and tramp overland to the West Coast. A second party will explore the country round Lake Rotoroa and the southern portion of Nelson province. The Paua Tramping Club will sen'd a party of about 14 to Queen Charlotte Sound. The party, which will be in charge of Mr. J. Huggins, will leave Wellington on the night of December 23. Members of the Victoria University College Tramping Club will travel over some unexplored country in the Lewis Pass region of the Southern Alps. The party, which will number about 20. will leave Wellington the day before Christmas.

The Rue Sac Tramping Club will send a party to tramp in the neighbourhood of the Ruaniabunga River in the Tararua ranges.
