WELLINGTON WOOL SALES
Limitation Of Offerings The Wellington Wool Brokers’ Association announces t>hat to avoid disappointment in the offering of their wool growers should understand that, in the interests of the sheep-farmers generally, the New Zealand AVool Committee has decided this season to reduce the maximum offerings of wool, at any one sale to ’24,000 bales, being 6000 bales less than in previous seasons. This leads to an earlier closing ot catalogues and as it contracts t!he quantities offered by the individual brokers, -rowers will find it necessary to exercise patience when their wools fail to reach tlhe AVellington selling centre in time for a particular sale. It must be 'recognized that brokers cannot do the impossible, and growers, it is hoped, will realize this, and that under the existing system—wbicb is designed to meet the situation in a fair and equitable manner—wool can only be offered according to priority of its receipt into store.
