WELLINGTON SCOTTISH CELEBRATIONS
St. Andrew’s Day will be celebrated by the Wellington Scottish Association in th? time-honoured fashion. The annual church service will be held in St. An--1 rew’s Church, The Terrace (the pioneer church of Wellington) tomorrow. The Rev. A. B. Kilroy will take the service, and will be assisted in the Gaelic and Doric readings by members .of the V> e - lington association. There will be a parade of Wellington pipe bands, who will play both before and after the serTl f)'n St. Andrew’s Day, Wednesday next, a grand Scots concert with dance to follow will be held in the Wellington Town Hall All the best talent of the city has hem’ engaged and the choirs of Queen Margaret College, Scots College the orphanages and the Scots Social Club, will also give items. A troup of 30 dancers in highland costume will complete the picture There will be a full parade of nine bands, and Avery’s Orchestra has been engaged far the dance. The Minister of Health, Mr. Fraser, will be chairman, and, all proceeds are for charity. It will be a good concert for a worthy cause.
