BRITISH EXPORTERS’ AGENTS
New Zealand Association Meeting
A record membership total was reported by the president, Mr. David Hogg, at the annual meeting of the United Kingdom Manufacturers’ and New Zealand Representatives’ Association which was hold in Wellington yesterday. “I am pleased to report the association has had a satisfactory year,” said Mr. Hogg. "The membership is now 270, which is the highest; in its history. This surely is an acknowledgment of the added interest in the association, both locally and overseas—an indication of tlie fact that this association is doing good work in tlie interests of trade between the United Kingdom and this Dominion. "The United Kingdom being a highly industrialized country, is in a position to supply at low cost a .high equivalent of goods in return for our produce. Almighty God iu His plan for supplying the needs of man, provided that different parts of this earth’s surface should be peculiarly fitted to contribute to those needs. "In New Zealand, it appears clear that its capacity lies in the production of what we call our primary products. Therefore, it is in this direction we should focus our attention in the development of the Dominion. By 'so doing, we would be using our natural advantages to the full, and by purchasing commodities in exchange, produced at low cost, the maximum benefit to this community would be achieved. It is increasingly clear we innsf buy from those to whom we sell.”
