TRAMPERS' DANCE
Combined Ski Clubs' Event
With rucksacks, coils of rope and heavy boots left behind, tramping club enthusiasts combined recently to enjoy themselves in another direction when they held their first annual dance, which took place in the Oddfellows’ Hall. All the Wellington clubs were represented and the various club colours were combined to form a bright pattern as they were interwoven about the hall in streamers. The clubs included the Hutt Valley Tramping Club, Ruapehu Ski Club, Victoria University Tramping Club, Tararua Tramping Club, Paua Tramping Club and RucSac Club. The dance committee comprised Misses J. Murphy, black taffeta, D. Luff, blue georgette, L. Milne, black taffeta, and Messrs. C. Stubley, >S. Davis, D. Warburton, N. Picton and W. Lawrence.
