WELLINGTON SOCIETY OF MAGICIANS
A leeturette on the various forms of rite I brec-card trick was given by Mr. Perry nt the monthly meeting of the Wellington Society of Magicians held in Wellington recently. Mr. Ferry demonstrated the methods used by tricksters on racecourses and also performed a trick with “jumbo” cards. Members stood in silence us a mark ot respect to'Mr. C. H McGill, a member of the society, who died recently. The guest artist was ‘".Murdini,” who '”ave a clever exhibition of sleight-of-hand with cards, silks and cigarettes. He also performed a tricl; with a lemon mid •< postal note. , * Poring supper "Murdini recounted some of his strange experiences aS a magician in diffcrenl parts ot he world Messrs. P Whisker, N. 11. Ml ill. Saunders and McAlister also contributed to the programme.
