QUESTIONS ANSWERED AFTER SESSION

Hon. R. Semple’s Tour

Two written questions had been received, but the Minister was not answering questions on his present tour; questions would be replied to at the conclusion of the Parliamentary session, said the chairman, Mr. P. Dowse, at the start of an address on public works and transport policy given by the Minister of Public Works, Hon. R. .Semple, at Woburn last night. The Minister was about to begin his address when a man in the audience rose and began to speak. He got no further than “Mr. Chairman,” being unable to make himself heard above the applause which greeted the Minister.

The Minister repeated the chairman’s statement regarding questions on his present tour.

The man thereupon put his hat on and walked out to the accompaniment of general booing. The chairman stated to “The Dominion” afterward that the questions were in a sealed envelope which he had not opened; therefore, he could not state their nature.
